Traditions

OUR LAKE'S TIME HONORED

Though the first USL Wooden Boat Parade was in 1914, it all but disappeared for over half a century until being given new life in the 1970's by our first Commodore, John Smith. Now under the stewardship of Commodore Thomas B. McGowan, (Cpt. Noodle), the parade has been an annual staple of Upper Saranac nearly fifty years.

MEET OUR

Participants

From all across the Adirondacks, boats from the 1950's to today gather to show their masterful design, historic individuality, and unique spirit.
